Hi everyone! ?
I didn't see a thread for COH's fall cohort, so I made one to keep each other posted ?

I had to always keep searching to who was currently speaking haha. just had to try and look composed as much as possible ? ..my laptop screen only showed about 6 or so videos, but I noticed that there were about 3-4 more below w/o videos so I think there were definitely more ?
successful applicants will get offers around mid to late of next week per the person I spoke with immediately after the 2nd interview and just like what you've mentioned from the info session. with that said, offers will most likely come next week if there are no necessary delays. 2nd interview dates are 8/15 - 8/19. so there are probably still interviews today. so they'll probably start deciding the beginning of next week
COH was my first application since it was my first choice. but im also looking into others as well just in case ?
I was so nervous that I actually shrink my teams program into the corner of my screen so I couldn't really see who was asking a question. It worked out because if I maximized the team program, it would have looked like I was looking off screen and not at the camera haha. I think I only stuttered on one of the clinical scenario questions haha

Did they discuss the salary over the phone and did you try to negotiate? Also, what floor did you list as your first choice? I told them hematology, day shift and I’m starting to regret it because I’m sure it’s in high demand.

they did share my starting pay rate. I didn't feel the need to negotiate since I was perfectly fine with it. besides, I have no prior RN experience, so I would have nothing to negotiate from haha
I had medical or surgical oncology (1st), hematology (2nd), or float pool (shared at interviews), with no specific day/night preference. I did my senior practicum at medical/surgical oncology so I thought it might be more appropriate to place as 1st.
I was offered hematology, nights. YAY! im not sure which shifts are on high demand nor the number of residents each unit will accept in this cohort ?

Congrats on getting the job! Wow you must’ve really stood out to them if they contacted you a day early haha. I spoke to another hematology nurse the other day and it seems like they’re short staffed there. It’s weird, they had an intermediate care unit listed on the application portal but I think it was a mistake because they don’t have an IMCU at the Duarte location. Fingers crossed on getting a call today ??

OMG congrats! Oh man now I'm nervous and gonna keep my phone with me all day. My first choices were BMT and hematology so I hope they call me as well???

congratulations! ? I think we'll have to finish a good chunk of our pre-employment paperwork first before they actually tell us about the specific schedules and stuff. I just remember that our first schedules and such will rely heavily on our selected preceptor's schedule.
