Hi!
I thought I would start a thread for those of us who have applied for the Fall 2012 Nursing Program at the City Colleges of Chicago. I have heard that they are letting people know on April 18th. Let's hope that's accurate because I'm so anxious to find out! Post here if you've heard anything at all in regards the the Nursing Program!
Hope to hear from everyone soon!
Kat
My GPA is 3.14 and I got a 78 on the TEAS.
My classes are that I use for my GPA are =
Bio 107 - Bio 120 - Bio121 - Bio 226 - Bio 227 - Micro 233 - Math 98 - Math 99 - Math 140 - Spanish 101 & 102 - Psych 201 - Chem 120 & 121 - English 101, 102, & 150
The nursing program looks at your accumulative score from ALL of your classes.
I haven't found out yet, but I am impatiently waiting!
Hi guys! Thanks for all of the congrats! I'm super excited! And congrats MrSmeli!
For those wondering:
My GPA is 4.0 (calculated with CCC courses, (which is what they said they were going to use): Micro, Bio, Chem, Eng 101)
My score on the TEAS was 91.7%
I so hope you all get the emails soon! My last name starts with an M but I'm not sure if that's what they're going off of. Hope this helps!
Good luck!!!
~Kathryn (I knew I shouldn't have used my old email address as my username! 17 year old me thought Katja was more exciting than Kathryn! Oops!)
Oh my,
Just so everyone knows you are well above me in all of your scores. It's ok though. I want to be accepted so badly this year because I'm getting really old. ha. I'm also 6 months pregnant, with a 2 year old and a 15 year old, so, it might not be the best timing but I really want it bad.
I think that's hilarious, Kathryn! If I make it in and we are in classes together I'm going to have to call you Katja. hehe
That would make sense to fill up the spaces with the highest ranked and it sounds like Kathryn is pretty high up there.
I would be happy being the scraps.
Here's my problem. I went to Truman right out of high school, over 20 years ago. I decided to stop going after a few months, without withdrawling, and got F's in my classes. At the time I couldn't have cared less. Two years ago I started up again and my GPA starting then is a 3.7. But, add in my F's from 20 years ago and it's not a pretty picture. I did everything I could to get rid of those grades and they wouldn't budge.
I got a 75% on the Teas.
