City Colleges of Chicago: Fall 2012

Hi!

I thought I would start a thread for those of us who have applied for the Fall 2012 Nursing Program at the City Colleges of Chicago. I have heard that they are letting people know on April 18th. Let's hope that's accurate because I'm so anxious to find out! Post here if you've heard anything at all in regards the the Nursing Program!

I spoke with Dr. Gurney yesterday. She was very nice and understanding of my frustrations. She said that she would send me something later that evening. I actually didn't hear from her until 5pm today, but I was patient and..... it payed off!!!!! I've been accepted at Truman!!!!!!!

Good luck, and I'd say be patient. She said that the PeopleSoft system that they use was having trouble with transcripts outside of City Colleges. They aren't done sending out all of the acceptances, so don't stress too much until you get a rejection letter.

Hello Everyone,

It's been several days since I have been on here to post, mainly because I was discourage about getting into the nursing program. I just thought I didn't have a chance with all of the high GPA's and Teas scores. Guess what??????? I have been accepted into the Nursing Program at Truman. I just found out just an hour ago and the email was officially sent at 7:00pm this evening. I was so happy that I did a happy dance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No problem sskrips - I received the email in my ccc account. I also will admit that I had been emailing Dr. Gurney the last several days from that account without any response so when I saw the email from her this evening, I was surprised but so very happy..........

Thanks, ss_suzie. I just emailed Dr. Gurney as well. Let's hope I hear back soon :) Gosh, I am so ready to know the decision and relax a bit... And, I am very happy for you!
