I would like to start a thread for those of us who have applied for the Fall 2014 Nursing Program at the City Colleges of Chicago. Please post if you have any information you might have regarding acceptance letters and also ask questions regarding the process. I think this will be helpful for applicants as far as how the acceptance process is coming along as well as support through the waiting period.
Im actually done with all my classes for the program...but im thinking about taking some classes that will transfer over for bsn once I'm done with Truman
So from what I hear, best daytime teachers at Truman - Kipnis, Preston, Romba. Murphy apparently not so much. I had a friend that took Romba for her 101 last year and she loved her. I know Huda teaches evening classes but I don't know anything about him/her as a teacher.
Also, couple girls that I know who took Nursing 101 & Bio 227 and worked, found it extremely hard to balance it all, so unless you absolutely have to take a class ( like A&P 1,2 or Micro) or don't have to work, I would advise against it.
And lastly, is it gonna be only Truman for 2014? Or is Truman the first to send out the letters? So many questions, arghh......

Yeah I am thinking maybe I should stop working for a first semester.
Kind of concern about only truman being a nursing school. Does it mean classes will be bigger and they will separate us later or they accept less students?
Sorry was busy. I head that in order to get schedule what you want you just have to be there earlier. First come first serve..BUT I can't remember where I read it...ugh..also, I think they area admitting to Malcolm x, just didn't send out letters yet. Just my thoughts :)
