City College SF FALL 2020

Published

Hello! Anyone applying or reapplying to ccsf for fall20/sp21?

any update on standby list? Is anyone else waiting?

Congratulations to all who have been accepted!

I am applying next year, and I am trying to figure out what my chances of being accepted are. What multi-criteria points did you all get? I'm sure many others would love to know.

Thanks and good luck with your studies!

@Psychnursehopeful did you end up finding someone to room w in SF!

@libby mattingly By chance do you know where they are in the standby list? or if the cohort is already full? I've been trying to get into contact with the nursing department, but haven't had any response yet. Or do you know if anyone recently got accepted from waitlist? sorry for all the q's!

I believe they accepted a couple more beginning of December. We have due date of Dec 30 for immunizations and things. If not everyone complete or passes they could possibly be taking more. First day of class is Jan 19 so I would keep checking email just in case.

I cant remember my exact points off top my head. I can tell you I have 4.0 in my sciences and 3.8 in all other classes, I have an AA, but don't speak any other language. but ended up scoring about 79 on my TEAS and got accepted. Happy to answer questions as best I can. Good luck in all your applications.

Hi,im applying for next year and I was wondering... on the website it says chem intro to medical Chemistry as a pre req. I've taken Chem 30A which is intro to chem at my community college (EVC) is this class valid? Does anyone know? THANKS!!

Specializes in PCT.

I don't believe that Chem30A would count as medical Chemistry. I would check with the Chemistry Department Head because they would be the one to approve it. I think at City College that Chem is just a prerequisite to Anatomy and Physiology though so if you have those it might not matter.

Hi Vanessa,

Actually I think it does count. If you go into the nursing website for Community College San Mateo they have an "Articulation Grid." On their website Evergreen's Chem 30a is the same as CCSF Chem 32. However that is San Mateo's estimation, but usually most Community college have some a similar agreement in place. I would check with a counsellor or the nursing department though.

And yes Chem and Stats are now required, but I don't know if the grades for those classes are going to weighed into our GPA
