City College SF FALL 2020

Published

Hello! Anyone applying or reapplying to ccsf for fall20/sp21?

Specializes in Nursing.

Please, can you guys tell me if they said anything about immunization in there? I am in for Spring but just curious!

Specializes in None.

CONGRATS everyone!

I was #104 on the waitlist, and got an acceptance letter into the fall 2020 program two days ago.

It told me that I have until June 18 (Thursday) at 4 pm to confirm or deny admission.

I didn’t realize I was going to get accepted and I already paid a deposit to the USF Spring 2021 program. But now, I am thinking I just start ccsf this fall, and apply for the bridge program with sf state so I would get my BSN either way, and save a shiiiiiit ton of money and also be done sooner. Does anybody have info on the ADN-BSN bridge program and when to apply? Had anybody heard pros and cons of each program?

Hi Lian,

Congratulations! Both of us have the same exact story. I also got excepted for Spring 2021 at USF and made my deposit. I was waitlisted #103 and got accepted to CCSF for fall. I think I am going to go with CCSF and just go with my faith and save a lot of money.

if you don’t mind asking me how much do you have to pay after financial aid and all?
I have to pay $22,000 a year. I I would have 66,000 debts after I finish school. And that’s just for tuition.

also, My friend who finished her first semester at CCSF told me that CCSF partnered with Ohio University with online BSN. So we would be done at the same time when we finish CCSF.

Hey friends!

I was also in this predicament. If you’re already enrolled into a BSN program then I would stay with that. Yes, you’ll start school sooner but the initial time spent will be much longer as opposed to you waiting til Spring and finishing out your BSN. A lot of the nurses I work with now attended private schools and are $180,000-400,000$ In debt. Eventually we’re all going to have to go to a state/university. At least you guys have the opportunity to knock it out now.

I agree with you that we have to invest to BSN and so we wouldn’t have to worry about it later on but I have a daughter and a single mother so owing that much money would just take away from my daughter’s education. I wish USF was a two year program. ?

Yes ma’am! That changes everything I totally get it. At least you’ll have your RN! A lot of people say they’re not hiring RN’s with just their ADN don’t listen to them. At all. They need RN’s everywhere BAD. Especially during this pandemic so once we’re outta school they’ll be asking for us. They even come to the school to recruit the soon-to-be graduating classes

Hi y’all!

I received my accepted the evening of the 2nd for the Fall and sent in my declination on the 12th. I got into a program closer to home so at least housing will be a ton easier!

CONGRATS and good luck to whoever received my spot!

Cheers!

~Shelly

Does anyone know what number they are on for waitlist?

Hello all, they are currently on number 121 on the waitlist.

(I emailed the staff.)

@desdewitt CONGRATS on getting accepted to EVC! I'm #157 on waitlist and was told they were on #121 today. I'm still hoping I get in! ahhhh Did they email you or call you to let you know?

Hey! I just seen this oh my goodness ! Are you #157 for CCSF? They emailed me through my CCSF email, but I also set it up so I can get notifications through my main email as well. If they’ve made it this far down the waitlist this fast I’m sure they’ll get to your number. They started telling people super late. I found out I was in EVC back in Feb as well as most schools I applied to so a lot of people are going to be giving up their spots since most schools have reached out already.

Yes we are in the same boat, I would owe just under 70k after financial aid. Have you decided yet?
