Hi Everyone,
I got into CCSF for fall 2014 and Ohlone for spring 2015. I am not sure which school to choose. Since I already wasted a lot of time, I do not want to wait for one more semester. But I heard that CCSF is losing its accreditation. Will that affect? Has anybody attended any of these nursing programs that can give me some advice? Which nursing program is better?
Thank you very much!

Hi there,I have exactly the same problem!!! This is so crazy. I'm at CCSF for fall 2014 and Ohlone for Spring2015 and I don't know which school to go to. I thought I had it all figured out and now I am soooooo confused. Have you attended an orientation at CCSF?
Hi there, what a coincidence! I attended the orientation today. Maybe we saw each other already. The orientation is good, but I am still a little bit worried. Didn’t she say a facility that the school worked with is closed? And the hospital in that area is intense, so we may not get the clinical time we want. Anyway I am also very confused; it is very hard to make a decision. I want to start the program as soon as possible, but CCSF is a little bit too far. I live in Fremont, and I am a current student at Ohlone. One of my friends told me to go to Ohlone, but I just cannot make the decision.
I was at orientation as well.
It is hard to make a decision, I hear you. They did a good job at the orientation convincing us the accreditation issue will be straighten out and I don't think such a big school just going to close. Plus I read some stuff online that the judge said that CCSF will not lose its accreditation until the trial is over, and the date for trial has not been set up yet. So... I am more convinced that the school won't close. But I also heard good things about Ohlone. I am a new student to both school. Commute for me is bad either way. I am in Alameda now but might be moving after summer.
The fact that u already in Ohlone and u live in Fremont too makes you lean towards Ohlone of course. Just for that I would chose Ohlone. But I am like u I want to start school now in Fall, rather than wait till spring.
Have you bought the books for CCSF yet?

OP, it sounds like your gut is telling you which way to go- listen to it! There's a reason. :) I don't know what's going on with CCSF, but those kinds of situations make me worry, and I know I wouldn't want my nursing career hanging on that, especially if I had another option. I had to wait a year to get my top choice school (was accepted to 2 others in SoCal), but it was worth it. Follow your gut!!
