I'm starting this article for all of the City of Chicago nurse applicants for 2013. I'll first start with a little about why I'm choosing Truman vs Daley or Malclom x and I'll also add some pertinent information that I think would be useful for everyone.

you can apply. In my case, I've finished all of these so I am continuing on to Bio 226 & 227 prior to applying to the program, which will help me out in the long run.
The application opens around 10/10/2012, and shortly after the TEAS exam registration will open to take on-campus at Truman.
I wonder how strict they are for those who accepted? Does anyone know if your TEAS score has a big impact on their decision?
How much is are the fees for your criminal background check, immunizations, and TEAS exam?
Yea i got in too, confirmed my placement twice as well and haven't gotten any response as of yet.... I wonder when they will be finish sending out the confirmation emails back to the students?
I am guessing they are only confirming Truman students. I got accepted to Daley and I called this morning and was told they are not sending out confirmations. We are to expect a email with the details of the program and requirements in about two weeks. If you dont receive an email within that timeframe, call the school.
Yea I just got off the phone with them now, they told me I should be hearing something from them in about a week since they are doing graduations this week. But they did tell me that I was confirmed so whew!:) that takes a load off of my shoulders... Guess I'll just have to be patient and see the rest ya know! :-)
FYI - Started this topic for Truman nursing applications, since I was accepted to Daley I be starting one for Daley students. Yeah I got the Health Exam packet..Boy! is it alot!!!! But I see they don't really get descriptive....for Ex. Do we just buy the drug test ourselves or is this done during the physical exam?? and where do we submit these Physicals!!??!! lol....By envelope to the district??? Or during orientation??? I swear, I know they are disorganized, anytime they tell you to keep looking at your e-mail frequently esp. for orientation dates..my gosh..
Which college were you accepted into? I was accepted at Malcolm X and have not received my health info packet. I keep emailing but no response as of yet. Its making me nervous.
You need to go to an occupational health clinic to request a drug screen. It is not included in the physical. Make sure you let them know...where ever you decided to go that you need a 10 panel test!!! No other drug test will be accepted.

I got the email too... Finally
