Chronic dialysis clinic hours

Published

A Fresenius clinic hours are posted as M-F, 9-5p when googled. Are these hours realistic for staff or only for patient information? Thanks.

Our fmc clinic operates MWF 0530-2100 and TTS 0530-1630

There are several posts about the hours on here..I think a lot of it depends on the size of the clinic and how many shifts are run. Also, the hours you posted make me think this is for an office based dialysis position, not one running chronic or acutes. If working in home dialysis or PD clinic, then I could see those hours but on a unit - no.

Thanks for responding. No, this clinic is for chronic hemodialysis patients. I just find the hours 9-5 to be too clear-cut; I'm thinking it's only for the patients' knowledge of when the doors open, but staff arriving much sooner. ????

I don't do dialysis, but all the facilities where I've sent my NH/LTC pts had the 2 shifts to run their pts.

The 9-5 is prob for front desk administrative, public information business. Or for folk like me who had to call to cancel and tell them Mary Smith was admitted to the hospital. After 5pm, the front office prob closes and the phones are most likely rerouted to the clinical nsg unit desk.

(Aren't they THRILLED they get to answer all the phone calls after 5!!!)

From my 11-7 NH job, if I had to call dialysis early, I had 'professional connections' with a BACK OFFICE phone number. I was bypassing the public phone number and talking to a real person on the 'private line'.
