Stars I hope you can get those banking issues finally resolved

NJ22 that is tricky, low sodium with heart failure restrictions, too bad the doctors have yet to address it

Ado hospice would be a good idea if she qualifies

Tweety glad you have tomorrow off, hope the next shift is easier

I did feel better yesterday as the day progressed.  Ran some errands in the mornings, before the stores got really crowded.  Then had lunch with dad.  Came home, exercised, and watched Outlander and Svengoolie.  The movie was OK but didn't watch the whole thing

Have a banking issue I have to straighten out.  Have Christmas account at the credit union, you put money in all year and it transfers the balance to the checking account in October.  I wasn't ready to get gifts in October so I transferred the money back into the Christmas account until the bill came.  The bill came yesterday but I find I can't transfer the money out.  So I'll have to call the bank Tues or Wed to straighten it out

Today will be heading out early so I can do some bird watching before church, as it will  rain all day tomorrow.  After church will stop home then meet briefly at my dad's to exchange gifts before going to my cousin's for Christmas Eve.  After that will likely head home and watch A Charlie Brown Christmas , church has a 10:30 service but unless my dad chooses to go I will probably skip that as being too late.  Unfortunately the church has gotten rid of the Christmas Day service

Another unusually warm day here in the mid 50s, thankfully no rain expected today

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2024 to all.

Sons finished set up of blow-mold lawn decorations and house lights last Saturday-- next 2 days had 3inches of rain. Oldest 37 yo son got laid off that Thursday.  Younger Chef son took us to Christmas buffet Friday at Walnut Hill College where he gradated from in 2009; while there oldest passed another kidney stone--CAT scan Monday showed more stones both kidneys so lithotrypsy in January -- >176 stones now?.    Christmas tree up beginning of week -- 300+ glass ornaments from 48 years collecting.  Each son got Hallmark light and motion ornaments, just 3 will work per light strand so had to stop giving them in 2010.

Younger son spent day in bed today while I put up my 65 yr collection of Gurley Christmas candles on bookcase. Sadly three from my toddler years: cow girl + boy and red reindeer melted.  Found 3 gingerbread men replacements. ?

Easy Christmas dinner: ham, baked carrots and potato skins, cheddar bay biscuits on menu. Desserts tiarimisu, reindeer brownies, and cookies done.

Good to see you, Karen!  Would love to be a fly on the wall and see your decorations.  The food smells wonderful!  Merry Christmas!

Since you asked, attaching my Christmas decorations.  My mother started buying Gurley candles in mid 50's --safe decorations for we children to place on sofa table.

My paternal grandparents had a 2story hall entry that a 8-10ft Christmas tree fit --which had glass balls.  See my  cousins and family picture late 1960's --I was photographer with my new Brownie camera so not shown.  Started my love affair with glass ornaments.  Married in 1975,  my hubby gave me glass ornaments or wax candle each year along with inheriting  some of grandparents and parents beauties, especially reflector ornaments.  I needlepointed tree Angel about 25yrs ago, along with plastic canvas ornaments dotting bottom of tree as safe from my dog Emmas explorations.

This was the first time in 5 years had the big tree up due to husbands health then death--burried in back of garage and 1year relocation for total home renovation completed last Thanksgiving.

My 88yo aunt gave me her glass bead garland to add;  took two days for my sons and I to troubleshoot lights then hang decorations.  Balls prior to 1960 burried deep inside tree.   It's an ORNAMENT tree I say when they complain about my collection.  Still have to find 1 box remaining in basement as Oscar mobile not found to youngest dismay.
