Quickly before they close it down due to floods of applicants! I'm just saying that because you don't want to lose out like many did with Cedars.

Hey Tberger1!

I got that same email and I also applied for oncology... from what I understand from the email is once we "re-apply" our applications will have the save status they previously held? I wonder what the hold up in Oncology is all about, Have you heard of anyone interviewing there yet??

Hey! How do we reapply?? I couldn't find the oncology position anymore??I don't know anyone else who applied but I wish it wasn't taking so long to find out one way or the other!

Their system is slowly being put up again. There's only TWO positions currently available for the whole hospital. Not all of the links are currently working in their new system. Give it a few hours... check throughout the rest of the day... perhaps even longer. The IT people are working as fast as they can, I'm sure.

Well the residency spots for 4th and 5th floor are still listed plus all of their other RN openings.I'll just try calling after work to see what they want us to do.Thanks!

They are listed on the old site. None are listed on the new site.

How do you access the new site?I talked to HR and they said they might not be back up until next week. Thanks again!

Yes, I applied to the RN residency med/surg 4th floor, and I just got off the phone with HR. She didn't really have an answer for me, but just said to keep checking back online to see if my unit i applied to gets reposted on the new system and if it does then I have to reapply! I'm guessing then i'll be able to see the status of my app again because as of now, theres no way to check the status of our apps! =(

It's really strange, and I called HR too (I applied to PICU and the app has been closed for awhile) and all they said to me was that you have to re-apply. But then I asked him how does this work if the app is no longer open to new candidates... Does it mean that anyone can apply now and they will sift through the applications AGAIN? I guess we'll see what happens!!

Does anyone remember if CHOC only takes applications for the residency program once or if you can apply to the different areas? The reason I ask is the unit I originally applyed for, Oncology, isn't listed currently on the new site... I'd be more than ok with Med-Surg, but I don't want to run the risk of applying for it just incase you are only allowed to apply once and then have the oncology position be posted later on.

Also to avoid annoying HR with calls asking the same questions, Does anyone know how long they are keeping the applications for us to re-apply/ if they are considering new candidates?

One department only. Be patient, they are slowly putting up apps, so just wait for your Onc

Oh ok that's what I thought… thanks!

Did anyone else apply to med/surg 4th fl previously? I just saw it's now posted again under the new app system, but its not the same job number 9020 that I had previously applied to (9023). Do you guys think I should just reapply to this one or wait longer to see if they post another med/surg 4th fl with the same job number as I applied to before.

PS- I've tried calling HR and they don't pick up as I assume they're bombarded with calls all day today.
