Hi! I know the application for CHLA's RN Residency Program doesn't come out until March 2nd, 2020, but I just wanted to get a heads start!

I'm planning on applying for their NICCU and was curious if anyone knew what the prescreen interview would consist of?

@mm2020 No, I'm going to tomorrow or Wednesday when I have time during the day since I want to have good lighting.

Anyone else apply for east heme-onc? What was the on demand-interview like?!

Anyone apply to PICU?

Has anyone completed the video screening yet?

@mm2020 I completed the video screening! You just complete an intro (however long you want it to be), then there are 5 questions you have to answer that only allow 2 min per response. You'll do great, just prepare and then record!

@BayAreaNurse You just complete an intro (however long you want it to be), then there are 5 questions you have to answer that only allow 2 min per response. Two of the questions are specific to the unit you're applying for, like "why this unit" and "what makes you a good fit for the unit", etc. Good luck!

Thank you so much! Is the intro a general introduction of yourself ?

@BayAreaNurse You're welcome! Yes just a general intro, anything you want them to know about you.

Specializes in Perinatal.

Hi everyone, good luck with your applications! Those who have completed the prescreen interview, do you start the recording or is it automated to start after a certain amount of time?

@BSN_98 Good luck to you as well! You start the recording yourself.

I applied to the PICU! I am applying from out of state, so I hope that does not hurt my chances. Good luck!

Hey everyone! I'm applying to the NICCU too (and also wondering what their actual level is LOL)! I did a pre-screening thing for Children's in Atlanta and it really wasn't too bad, just awkward so I'm hoping this is the same way. @okwTX20 I'm from out of state too (Washington DC) so we're in the same boat- fingers crossed! Is anyone applying to other hospitals in the area or San Diego? I applied to Rady but not sure where else to apply! Good luck to everyone ?

@bhrn9 I called the hospital to ask what their level was since their NICCU webpage says IV but the app said III. The lady on the phone said it was Level IV NICCU
