CHLA RN Residency March 2016

Published

Hey everyone, just started this thread to get to know more about you who is also applying to the CHLA residency program. I just checked the website and they're supposed to open applications very soon (at 5pm - Western time). What unit(s) are you considering? Is anyone applying with an International degree?

Hello everyone!

I applied yesterday and got my packet this morning. Do you guys know if the recommendation letters should be sealed and sign? I tried calling HR but was sent to a voicemail.

Thanks everyone!

So, I just contacted them and the Letters of Recommendation don't have to be in a sealed envelop. It's OK to just have it in paper along with the other documents... yey! :)

Thank you Holland. Did you send your packet already?

I applied for this cohort, too. I applied to the one that just started, but I didn't get past the Skype interview for the OR. This time I'm applying for the BMT unit and 6W as my 2nd choice. I hand delivered my packet to HR today. Now the waiting starts!

I turned in my packet today too. ER is my first choice and Hem-Onc was my second. Let the waiting game begin....

Hello guys,

I am dropping off the packet tomorrow, but where is HR located exactly? Is it the building next to employee parking? Thanks guys!

It is in the same structure as the employee parking. I almost missed it because it is a little hidden. It is on the Sunset side about half way down before you get to the overhead walking bridge (if you start at the corner of Sunset and Rodney and walk toward Vermont). I hope that helps.

Thank you so much! It sure does help :) So, someone will receive the packet right? or just a drop off box?

You hand your packet to an HR person behind the window.

I walked up to the window and handed it to someone. Just tell them what it is. The lady who took mine was very excited! :)

thank you ladies :) do you guys have your ATT or already have your RN license? I got my ATT last week.

I have my RN license.
