U.S.A. California

Hi all,

Just wanted to start up another forum for CHLA's Versant New Grad RN Program for the March 2013 cohort. Here's a link to CHLA's page: http://www.chla.org/site/c.ipINKTOAJsG/b.3579535/k.2A87/RN_Residency__Pediatrics_Nurse__RN_Versant.htm

The online app should only be open for a few more days apply now and GOOD LUCK!

Yeah I have that status too. I'm pretty sure everyone who applies has that one, because I think I remember having it as soon as I applied.

Also, @itsnowornever- I saw on another thread that you got a job today!! Congrats!! How exciting!!!!

I do have it.....but it wasnt a requirement in the package. I decided to take it because I thought it was a plus.

I'm in the same boat ... I just haven't had the finances to get it. However, on my cover letter I did mention that I pursuing it (aka I keep looking longingly at the class in my area and then back at my bank account).

Hoping that this doesn't get me pushed out; you never know what they're looking for.

Phew! ok at least im not alone, I was so upset that I wasnt able to get it before I submitted my packet. Well still waiting, we have about 3 weeks to get notified...hope we all get an interview!

This waiting is pure torture haha ...anything yet anybody? I'm getting antsy already and we still have a few weeks....oh boy haha.

I have my PALS but it hasn't helped me in the past so I have no idea what they look for. I hope we can all get interviews! It'd be nice to finally hear something other than "decided to pursue other candidates".

This phrase has been the bane of my application existence lol!

Hi, Just found this thread. Good to know I'm not the only one on edge looking for a job. It's been a month since passing NCLEX and about 4 since graduating. Since then I have been applying like crazy. After applying and sending in my packet to CHLA I got a phone call from another children's hospital for an interview. Well it has been 2 weeks ago that I interviewed for a NICU position and I still have not heard if I got the position or not. So I guess I will have to keep on waiting. I wish I got a phone call saying one way or the other.

I decided to get PALS after the online app, figuring it couldn't hurt, so its on my packet resume and I mentioned it somewhere in my letter of intent. I had just submitted the online and it just hit me to get it done before the packet...
