Hi all,
Just wanted to start up another forum for CHLA's Versant New Grad RN Program for the March 2013 cohort. Here's a link to CHLA's page: http://www.chla.org/site/c.ipINKTOAJsG/b.3579535/k.2A87/RN_Residency__Pediatrics_Nurse__RN_Versant.htm
The online app should only be open for a few more days apply now and GOOD LUCK!
I could be wrong bc its my first time applying, but I don't think that not having PALS would do much to hurt an applicant, since it isnt required, I just did it bc i figured it couldnt hurt, not assuming it would push me over the edge or anything...i think being an ideal candidate has more to do with all the other stuff...so basically if I am a so-so candidate, having PALS probably wont save me!
I know its going to make rejection sting that much more, but I can't help get my hopes up! CHLA is my holy grail of new grad programs!!
I totally agree with you. This is the only program that makes me think that will help me become an excellent nurse and achieve my goals. I read so much about it and also about the whole institution that, to be honest, it's the only new grad program that I've applied in Ca. Because of it, I decided to apply for the NCLEX which I could passed (Im from Puerto Rico). Is the only place where Im willing to leave my country and start a new stage in my life as a professional. If that doesn't happen.....I have plan B, C and D. But Im SUPER DUPER READY for that CALL
