Positions were posted yesterday. I applied for NICU, PICU, and CICU. I've applied to other jobs in the metroplex but working at Children's CICU is my dream job! I'm starting this thread so we can update each other on the application/interview process and (hopefully) future job offers.
Thanks!
I think it went well! I had a panel interview. Typical behavioral questions and why I wanted to work there. Then I was given a tour of the unit. 75% of patients are neonates/babies 25% are toddlers and up including members of the adult population in their middle ages. The kids are super sick - ECMO, CVVH, sometimes they even have to open them up in the rooms so they have all the rooms set up with OR equipment if need be. Awesome unit with lots of opportunities for growth. I should hear back Friday :)[/quote']That is awesome. Sound promising. Good luck :)
Thank you all! Yes it was a very hard decision. I made a pro/con list for both lol. I'm a big believer in fate (and faith) and just the way things lined up pointed me to Children's! Excited to start! Now I need to buckle up and study for NCLEX lol.
@dagsmom - will I be working with you? :)
To those that are still waiting, be patient and persistent..I had 6-7 rejections before offers started coming. Plus, you always end up where you're meant to be :) Good luck!!!
