Children's Medical Center Dallas - July 2013 Internships

Positions were posted yesterday. I applied for NICU, PICU, and CICU. I've applied to other jobs in the metroplex but working at Children's CICU is my dream job! I'm starting this thread so we can update each other on the application/interview process and (hopefully) future job offers.

Thanks! So here's an update:

Phone interview went great. A lot of customer service questions.

I did the video interview right after that. You get 5 questions- the same behavioral ones everyones asking. 30 seconds to think about the question than 1 min 30 seconds to answer it. It records your answer and then sends it to the recruiter.

The recruiter said that for CVICU there were 300 applicants. We're not guaranteed a third interview with the manager, but after the video interview if they like what they see, they'll contact me for an interview with the manager around May 20th.

All that is true and was what I was told. I did video last week and have yet to hear.

Gosh... I have totally missed these internship posts :( I LOVE pediatric nursing! My special needs daughter is what motivated me to go back and get my second degree in nursing. I really need to get on to applying to these positions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope it isn't too late... does anyone know if it is too late???????

Just got a call from the recruiter to schedule a formal interview with the manager the week of May 20th. We're playing phone tag at the moment lol but I'll keep y'all updated :) I'm soo excited!!!

Has only CVICU contacted people? Any other units yet?

Interview is scheduled for May 21st. I was told to bring my CPR card and any other certifications. The recruiter said that they would be making offers the end of that week or early next. I'm not sure about the other units.

@meraki86 -- That is SO awesome! congrats! I wonder if they will be contacting any others for initial interviews. I didn't apply until the 3rd of May and I think I might have been too late to get my stuff in for their review -- even though the position was still open for applications :(

Does anyone have the email for the recruiter that is scheduling interviews/hiring for the Children's Internships? Working in pediatrics is my DREAM, and I really want to contact the recruiter to ensure she received my information. I sent it in late (May 3rd), so I am hoping they haven't called everyone already... Any help would be greatly appreciated.
