Does anyone have any experience in getting hired at CHO? How long does it usually take for them to call you for an interview? I applied in October for a PICU position and it seems that my application's status has been changed to being actively reviewed. This is the first time I've seen it advance this far. Usually my status changes to rejected. Any insight on this would be appreciated!

I applied to this position too and am still waiting for an answer. I hear the hiring process can be kind of long í ½í¸•

Hi all,
I know this is kind of a shot in the dark but I am curious if any of you have heard back from CHO? I have applied to several posting and have tried calling HR but they simply suggest I watch the online status. HR also mentioned that if the job positing is made unavailable on the job board then that position has been filled. I am wondering if there is more I could be doing to potentially advance my application.
Thank you in advance :)

Hi KL10,
Have you heard anything from CHO yet?? I also applied to several postings on the CHO website, and many of them have changed to actively being reviewed. I still have not received any phone calls to set up an interview or anything. I precepted at CHO in the fall of last year, and I talk with my preceptor often. She emailed her manager for me, but even that hasn't helped move the process along. I really hope we hear something soon!
Hi Akenzia13,
I haven't heard anything yet but I am hoping to hear back from someone soon. Have you had any luck with your preceptor? Maybe you could get the manager's email or contact information from your preceptor and contact them personally? Have you applied to other hospitals in the area? and if you don't mind me asking, how long have you been out of school?
Wishing you the best of luck :)
I received a call today from CHO for an interview on Friday! I have applied to many other positions in the area, and not limited to pediatric positions. I graduated Dec. 2015, so I have been out for about 3 months now. Have you been out of school long? Any luck at any other hospitals? I am still in contact with everyone from my nursing class and it seems to be pretty rough here in the Bay Area to find a job, or even an interview for that matter. I hope you hear from CHO soon too!
Best of luck to you as well!
Hi Akenzie13,
How did the job interview go? I am hoping for good news :) as for me, I attended school out of state and I am new to the Bay Area. My husband got transferred here for work. I got my nursing license in Nov 2015 and still currently looking for a job. I have heard the same about new grad having a rough time with job placements.
Sorry to be getting back to you so late. Hoping all is well :)
