Any Tips for Alameda Hospital New Grad Interview?
Hi everyone, I hope you all are doing well! I just spoke to HR and they confirmed that I will be starting on August 15, 2016. I am not sure if this goes for every one or just the CCU. HR did say they are wanting to do something special for all the new grads, so that lead me to assume that we all will be starting on August 15th. How did every one do on the pharmacology test?

Awesome thank you! I would consider this to be my first real nursing job. However, I do have a couple month of paid nursing experience working in a SNF.

Congratulations Kay26! Bud1987, I was able to complete the new hire paperwork as well as the drug screening. I am just waiting to hear back from AHS about the next step in the hiring process :) I am assuming that will be the pharmacology quiz. Thank you bud1987 for the heads up!! Really appreciated. Is this everyone's first nursing job? Happy 4th :)

I received an email saying the paper work is time sensitive and needs to be completed within 48 hours but I am not able to access it. I was curious if you received the same information.

TrNg congratulations! I was told the projected start date would be in August sometime but I am not sure if it differs between departments. Were you able to access the pre-employment paperwork online?

Any Tips for Alameda Hospital New Grad Interview?
That is really awesome! I initially applied for med/surg, however they offered me a position on the Critical Care Unit. As far as the pharmacology exam, I am not sure how to feel about it. Haha. I am right there with you about it not being a strong point. Were you able to complete the pre-employment paperwork?

Children's Hospital Oakland
Hi Akenzie13, How did the job interview go? I am hoping for good news :) as for me, I attended school out of state and I am new to the Bay Area. My husband got transferred here for work. I got my nursing license in Nov 2015 and still currently looking for a job. I have heard the same about new grad having a rough time with job placements. Sorry to be getting back to you so late. Hoping all is well :)

Hi Akenzia13, I haven't heard anything yet but I am hoping to hear back from someone soon. Have you had any luck with your preceptor? Maybe you could get the manager's email or contact information from your preceptor and contact them personally? Have you applied to other hospitals in the area? and if you don't mind me asking, how long have you been out of school? Wishing you the best of luck :)

Hi all, I know this is kind of a shot in the dark but I am curious if any of you have heard back from CHO? I have applied to several posting and have tried calling HR but they simply suggest I watch the online status. HR also mentioned that if the job positing is made unavailable on the job board then that position has been filled. I am wondering if there is more I could be doing to potentially advance my application. Thank you in advance :)

Hi RNRachael, You're welcome. I have tried contacting HR many times via phone but it seemed I could never get ahold of someone. I used the general email address provided on the HR website ([email protected]), they responded fairly quick :)
