Hey, it's normal to be nervous, it actually helps as crazy as that sounds. I interviewed on Monday and honestly they were really nice and had great energy just go with the flow. They literally lay out how the  interview is going to go from the start and it's literally 15 min. I'm not sure if others were asked other questions, just be yourself, they read your essay and they like it enough to wanna meet you! You got this!

I had my interview! it was really great! I had two people who interviewed me and the questions were somewhat the same as the essay which I know other people had as well. they asked 3 questions: why do you want to be a nurse and more specifically a peds nurse, give a time you went above and beyond for a patient while being inclusive and diverse (CHLA really prides themselves in these), and a time you went above and beyond for a patient. 

they said this whole week will be filled with interviews and by next week we should hear something for second round of interviews for the unit specifics 🙂

hey guys, I still haven't heard back about an interview, does this mean that I wasn't chosen? I applied for PICU and CTICU

I can say for sure, but I can say that they reached out last week via email to schedule first round of interviews for this week.

I had my interview today! Same questions two part why peds/why CHLA, then diversity/inclusion then above and beyond. They were nodding and smiling a lot but I cant tell if they liked me or they were just genuinely nice people. I'm feeling super impatient I need to know if I did well. I blacked out so I honestly don't know how I did. I finished then went oh shoot I forgot a bunch of important points I wrote down. I think my preceptorship in the PICU helped a lot because it seemed like they appreciated pediatric centered examples. Ahh sorry I just want to vent I'm feeling so many feelings.

If anyone wants to chat or vent let me know I'd love to talk to someone other than my boyfriend about it. Comment and I'll try to find a way to share my contact info!

Hi girl, I honestly felt like that too at fiirst tbh, it was so nervewracking and I lost my train of thought, I would love to listen or vent as well haha, maybe through ig or something.
