Hello! Creating this thread for anyone who applied to the CHLA New Grad Residency for the September 2024 cohort. I just submitted my application! Hopefully, we can use this to provide support and update each other. Good luck! 🙂

I think first interviews sadly are done

Just received email from heart cross train for 2nd interviews.

Just had my interview with 4 East! They were super sweet. It consisted of a lot of behavioral questions. Again asked about cultural diversity, why CHLA, why the unit, and other unit specific questions. 3 scenario type situations as a RN Resident. Total amount of questions took about two pages of their notes. Hope you guys do well with your interviews, and excited for those who have been reached out for their second interviews! 💜

Thank you so much for sharing! How long was your interview and with how many people?

My interview was an hour long with 4 people. But it varies depending on the unit, I have another interview with float pool and they stated that it would be 30 min interview.

Thank you!! I have an interview tomorrow with CV Acute but they didn't tell me how long it would be so I was hoping to get an idea.

also good luck to you on landing 2 interviews! That's amazing ❤️

The scenario based questions weren't bad at all. They were very similar to the behavioral questions. They asked what I would do as a new grad if there was a medication error, if a patient didn't want a new grad, and how I would act if I were to receive criticism.

anyone had their 2nd interview with CTICU?

has anyone interviewed with CV acute or cticu yet? im wondering how long the interviews are
