I heard back from pediatric OR today (it was my 3rd or 4th choice)

You sound like a strong candidate to me. I think that it's just extremely competitive in California and especially the Bay Area.

I actually just realized that the rejection is from the transplant unit (which was my #1 choice), but I'm assuming I'm rejected overall LOL "Thank you for your interest in our Medical/Surgical - Adult Transplant team. We appreciate the time you spent submitting your application for our new grad positions on the Medical/Surgical - Adult Transplant team. After careful review of all applicants, the team has decided not to move forward with your candidacy for one of their openings. Please do not be discouraged, we did receive a high volume of applications and the decision was a difficult one. We are also unable to provide individual feedback regarding your application due to this high volume.
