Hello everyone,
I wanted to start this thread for anyone who is applying for the Dallas/Plano Children's Health residency that begins in February 2025. I applied for the residency Monday and I am very excited and anxious.

I know a nurse that just completed her residency who applied twice. Don't give up on your dream if that's what you truly want. You got this!

I applied to the October cohort and only got to the screening part. I applied for this cohort and got offered a position. Don't give up ❤️

Did you receive any feedback? It's hard cause I live in Florida and renewing a lease is like do I?? So far two hospitals no thank you rejection emails feeling discouraged

I am not sure how the rejections work personally, but I have heard it's a system that picks applicants based off their resume, so if your resume is lacking in certain aspects that could affect you from getting calls.. make sure you have a really good objective and add in key words to try and help you stand out

I didn't receive any feedback. I did prepare heavily for the interview because I really wanted the job but I didn't know where I went wrong last time since I only got to the screening portion. I was discouraged too but I applied again still. I did tweak my resume too.
Hi all! I'm an INTERNAL APPLICANT.
I received phone screen and an interview for April 2025 residency for Children's Plano Float Pool. (Got my interview 9/17) was told I'd hear back either Friday 9/20 or latest today 9/23. Still have NOT heard back or have received a rejection email. I've emailed the recruiter to follow up. Have not heard back.)
I also applied for Dec 2024 cohort for CRT Dallas, (never received an interview offer)
Even as an internal applicant it's been very competitive.
My classmate received a JOB OFFER today 9/23 around noon, for the Plano children's float pool new grad residency April 2025. She is an EXTERNAL applicant too.
I still yet to hear back and no rejection email has been sent to me directly. I have 5 other internal applicants waiting for an offer or rejection...
I'm bummed out and discouraged at this point but don't want to lose hope.
we got this!
