Hi everyone!
I recently completed 20 contact hour for children CEU's but I am a Medical Surgical nurse. And I was wondering if this is considered sufficient since I am not a pediatric nurse. Please let me know if this is okay. Thank you.

I would think so. We do get emergency pediatric patients in med surg from time to time ...or maybe you'll want to switch specialties at some point.
I don't plan on switching specialties.

Sufficient for what? What are they for? Your licensing board? An NP program? Maintaining a certification? The governing body that requires the CEUs will determine if they are sufficient.
For instance, my state's licensing board requires ~40 CEUs per renewal cycle, but they can be from any specialty (whether you work in that specialty or not). In contrast, the board that provides my specialty certification requires that a certain portion of my CEUs (~60 per renewal cycle) come specifically from my specialty.
