child abuse inquiry

Hi I just want to ask for i emailed the new york state i need to complete child abuse. Do i have to attend lectures on it ? can I just have it on line or just the questions sent to me via mail. Lastly anybody here received there license without the child abuse and just have to follow? Thanks to all

Both courses can be done on-line for about $15 each. You can get your license without them, but will need to have proof of them when you begin work in NY.

The NYS nurses Association offers the required courses. You not only have to have the child abuse one, but one on infection control (covering HIV & Hep). The courses must be approved by NYS. Both can be taken on line via NYSNA. They report your successful completion to the state. You do not have to be a member to take the courses.
