Hey everyone! I'm about to submit my nursing ap with 92 points. Anyone else? It'd be cool to get a general idea of the points other people are applying with!
The website said they won't be sending out decisions til the 15th. So that knowledge is helping with my own anxiety. @Mjjvt
@natbat and @lotsoflittleworlds - I actually have some friends who go to Chico right now keeping an eye out for housing, but I'm also not very sure what to do about the time crunch, and don't want to commit to a lease or something like that in case I don't get in. If I get accepted though, I'm also coming from Sac!
@ Mcfluffy I hope they would be lenient too. I'm going to have my first driving test on 27th hopefully I will pass. And I'm sure they will give us time, from what I understand clinicals begin in 5th week of school and all those requirements are clinical requirements? And I actually saw those Jan 2nd deadline in the info packet for currently enrolled students who are in 2nd semester and up so it is likely we would actually have more time!
Oh that's good to hear that we have plenty of time to finish all those requirements. And as for the housing, I also plan to move to Chico from around the Sac area as soon as I'm offered an admission to the program. I just hope it wouldn't be too late to look for a housing on that date. Also does anybody know any other sites or services to use like the aforementioned Craiglist?

I found other sites that seemed all advertisy and you had to create an account and such and the prices seemed higher in my opinion. they may be better but I just preferred not going through some company. I searched for a good 2 or 3 weeks calling all kinds of people before choosing a place.
How do you like Chico so far? How different is it from LA? Would you recommend getting room or should I stick with University Housing? Any neighborhoods we should probably avoid?
I love chico, I specifically only applied to chico because I wanted to be in a smaller city with more nature and less traffic. I find it beautiful, there are for sure some neighborhoods that look a bit more sketchy but not like LA. My roommate told me the neighborhood just northwest of campus, those few square blocks are a bit more sketchy. That's all I really know, I've only spent a few days there. It's probably a good idea to drive around and look at places before settling. I don't know about university housing other than it's 1000 a month including food, that sounds expensive to me and from dorms i've seen at other colleges, they are not the most private nor quiet. but maybe it's a fun experience and good way to get to know people. I'm 30 and have lived with lots of people at a time before and at this point I'd rather be in a more quiet setting, but maybe 10 years ago I would've liked living in dorms.

You should also look on Craigslist cause I know a ton of people are trying to fill rooms in their places!
