Chico State BSN Fall 2021

Hi there! 

I saw that there wasn't a thread yet for Chico's BSN program for this year's round of applications for the Fall 2021 cohort. Hoping to get a feel for this year's applicant pool. 

I wanted to make a thread where we could discuss the program and the application process! Feel free to drop your stats, questions, or comments below.

So I found this on Chico's FAQ page 

Q. I don't see Chico State School of Nursing listed as a location to send my TEAS result to. How do I submit my TEAS result?

A. From your ATI account, place an order for your result to be sent to Chico State University. This is connected to our School of Nursing email. 
 

So, it seems I wasn't the only one having an issue. According to ATI (I gave them a call) the main drop down list glitches and can exclude some schools, so they led me through a different way to send it. Maybe this will help others with the same issue: instead of "sharing" your result with a school from the results page, you need to buy a transcript, checkout, and then indicate California State University, Chico.

Thanks but I think you misunderstood my comment. I called ATI already. They confirmed with me that it wasn't in the drop down list you see when you try to share from the "results" page. That's how I sent my score my other schools, but for Chico I had to do it differently.

Did anyone get an acceptance into the University yet?

I got accepted today for pre-nursing (I had to log into my portal). I also submitted a NursingCAS application, on their website it says that if you meet the point cut off you’ll be offered a seat (if there’s room). I’m kind of confused and curious as to when I would hear back about if I got into the actual nursing program? Or if I already got denied? Not sure LOL. If anyone has more insight into this let me know!!

My university acceptance us still pending ? I'm not sure if CSUC is the school that only accepts you into their university if you are accepted for their nursing program.. When did you you send your transcripts in?

Hi! I sent my transcripts to nursing cas before I submitted my app, they just requested my transcripts (it was showed up on my to do list today) so I just sent those in. I called and they said its basically a two step process, I only got admitted for pre nursing as of now and I will hear from the nursing department at a later date regarding if I got into the nursing school or not. Keep your head up! You never know what might happen!!

Yup! Me too. I sent in my transcripts to NursingCAS to have them verify my grades, and I also sent one to the University (to-do list). I followed all the steps. However, I did send my transcripts a few days before the deadline.. maybe they are accepting ppl in order of transcript verification? I talked to them, and they said they are sending acceptances out in batches everyday. I hope I'll get something soon! Thank you so much and congrats! ❤️

Hey everyone,

I never got an email, but I checked my portal today and noticed that it says I was admitted. Does anyone know when they usually send acceptance for the nursing program?

I emailed them, and they said they will send out acceptances during finals week? I’m not too sure...

I'm pretty sure decisions will come out around Mid May/Late May
