Nurses Job Hunt

Published

Hello everyone,

I interviewed with st Lukes,Tuesday, August 7. Has anyone heard back from the recruiters. Feeling anxious!!! I felt like the interviews went well, but no call as of today! Any thoughts, comments, updates will be greatly appreciated

Are they done giving out offers

This is an old thread but I am applying to the summer 2019 cohort. Did anybody with a ADN get hired and also was there one application for residents? I have tried calling and can’t get anyone on the phone. All I see are regular positions.

Specializes in MICU, Burn ICU.

Did you end up hearing from CHI St. Luke's?

hey guys!! this is def an old thread, but i wanted to see if anyone was willing to give me interview for CHI? I sent back my required paper work and if chosen to interview, this will be my first, so im super nervous about the questions and the process. I dont want my anxiety to get the best of me.

Hi! I was interviewed by the CNO, the HR Director, and the Director of the unit I applied for. They asked questions like:

  • Tell me about yourself
  • Why did you choose nursing?
  • Why do you choose this unit?
  • Why did you choose CHI St. Luke's? Why this location? (Research about the company and the expertise of that specific hospital)
  • What are your greatest strengths?
  • What are your weaknesses? (Talk about a weakness that is actually a strength! Like being a perfectionist - it is actually helpful to ensure you don't make any mistakes)
  • Where do you see yourself in 5-10 years? (Talk about how you see yourself growing within the company! They want to see that you plan on being with them long-term)
  • How do you deal with conflict?
  • What are your plans for professional growth? (Again, say something that will benefit you AND them. Like for example, get certifications so you can be a better servant to the patients, etc.)
  • How do you handle stress?

Remember ALWAYS smile and give eye contact. Take a few seconds to think about the questions before tackling on answering them. Best of luck to you!
