Any of you encountered cheating classmates in your pre-req classes? There were cheaters in my Chem class, and now in my A&P class. REALLY angers me! I reported them to the instructor. Afterall, who wants to have a nurse who cheated their way into/through nursing school??? Maybe the TEAS weeds them out...
dear Mango Peach, cheating does concern You,these cheaters will be your Peers.( Imagine you get your first job...and now the cheater works there with you....would you trust this nurse to even answer the call bell for your patient? take a blood pressure? do a temp) Nursing is a team profession,we rely on one another, would you rely on the cheater? We do not live in a vacuum of our own family/experience. I am not telling you how to live life and I am not telling you to report these people....the cheating situation is part of a Larger Picture that IMPACTS patients lifes...
good luck with your studies.....Nursing School is Harsh
How does one cheat all the way through Pre Reqs, The TEAS/NET/HESI or other, nursing school, clinicals, and the NCLEX? If someone is not spending time to learn the material, does it now show in their skills? At my school, you only have 3 times to perform a skill before you fail. At another school, its only twice. So I find it hard to believe that these folks are making it from start to finish cheating all the way through. Your lack of knowledge is eventually going to show. I would say that if schools are continuously turning out grads that lack skills and have managed to cheat their way through school, then this program should be shut down.
Sorry, but my opinion still remains the same, KARMA eventually catches up to these folks. I am in school to focus on my studies.
^ your not friends with someone no more because they have cheated before? u kidding me
"The act is just an indication of her overall mindset and personality. I am no longer friends with her because of her other actions"
It was one of many things that she did. She used people, ... she bought Gap, bought L.A.M.B. purse and wallet that was on clearance for "only" $400 and something, flaked out on helping me out cause she had to go find out why her welfare had been suspended (food stamps, health ins, cash assistance) then after that was straightened out asked if i could watch her kids cause she wanted to buy tickets to a concert for her and her boyfriend because the b/f had never been to one ...
I don't want to be around all that. My parents are in their 60's, unemployed, diabetic with no health ins, sending out resumes, attending workshops, going into more debt to take classes to update their skills... they are still trying to support themselves - i have offered multiple times for them to come live with us so they don't have to also worry about paying their mortgage ... i just keep praying for all of us to make it through this economy
Oh please. May he (or she) who is perfectly honest in every aspect of their life cast the first stone at me. This is just getting ridiculous. I am 18 years old so yes, I do have plenty to learn. And so do you so get off your high horse already. I don't worry about a cheater setting the curve on my exams because believe it or not, I don't rely on a curve to get a's on my exams. I rely on hard work. Wow I've copied some ones homework in the past, I must be a monster! No, I'm not. I don't have to prove my character to any of you but maybe you can learn not to be so judgmental. I know what a wonderful nurse I will make when I graduate nursing school and I can't wait :)
I've seen many people cheat on exams and quizzes in A&P, Micro, and Chem. I even experienced an incident where about 1/2 of the students looked up answers during an evacuation halfway through (there was a real fire in the building) on the day of my A&P I final exam! They even cheated in front of TAs and the professor himself. The answers they were looking up were easy questions and if they had to look that stuff up, they should have failed the class to begin with. The professor knew but I'm not sure what he did since so many were looking at their textbooks.
It's just very aggravating and I do not associate myself with those who choose to cheat their way through life. They have something coming to them.
