After spending a couple full days last month applying to Georgetown's online program, I got accepted. The program is to start in March, and it's all online (except the 650 hours of clinical). I was so excited to get accepted, but am now realistically looking at the cost of tuition. $1500/hr x 45 hours = around $71,000. That's quite a bit of money, and I'm not rich by any means. I was hoping to find a program that is 30-50k.
Any recommendations on cheap online MSN / FNP programs?
I live in the D.C. area, and honestly wouldn't mind doing the program all online.
If you start looking at public schools and avoid for-profits, you'll find lower tuitions. Not 100%. Big name state schools might be pretty expensive too, but less well known schools are where I'd look.

Don't be sorry. I rehashed this thread because I wanted feedback. It already had good information so no point in starting a new one. I'm curious about the different schools/programs mentioned and wanted feedback from people who attends/completed these programs.
I am at Walden. I got a scholarship for 4000.00 and the military discount of 10 percent which helped cut my cost. I will start my clinicals in November.
Does the military discount apply to veterans or just active duty?
I am in the initial process of applying for Walden's RN-BSN-MSN program. I will need some scholarships to offset the tuition cost. I was wondering as to where to find scholarships. I can no longer apply for student loans.

I am not sure because you are in a different program than I am . the scholarship I received because I was a MSN student. I am sorry you have exhausted your financial aid so soon in this process. I would probably ask the admissions rep what they have to offer as well. If you are an RN I would look at employers who provide tuition reimbursement as well.
Has anyone graduated from a MSN at Grand Canyon University? I am looking at it. I spent a ton of money on my BSN at a very highly regarded school and I don't want to spend that kind of money again ( I was so poor for so long!). Any pro's or cons of GCU would be welcome!
