Chattanooga state rn fall 2016 hopefuls?

Yeah, that's the part that I'm worried about. Lol. Last year was a low year so I'm worried this year could be higher than previous years. The 24th feels so far off. lol.

Dnw09, don't worry. Yes, last year was a bit lower than previous years, but not by much. And it would be really unusual for the pts to shoot up that much. Besides, 2008 & 2010 were the most competetive years in recent history, with lots more applicants due to the 2008 economic downturn.

Just over a week until the emails should be sent. Even though I know I won't hear anything until at least the 24th, I've still been checking my email obsessively.

I check my email like crazy too. I talked to a girl in my micro class today who said her advisor (AK) said that they were between application directors and that the earliest we would receive word was April 4th. I'm hoping that we find out next week, I'm not sure I can wait until April 4th without going crazy. Lol.

It's ridiculous how often I check mine. I've been counting down the days til then end of next week..I feel the same as you dnw09..ill probably go crazy if another week or 2 is added to that wait time

Oh no! I don't want to wait until April! I guess the good news is, they can only push it back so far to allow students time to get imms, physical, etc. Until then, I guess I'll keep amusing myself the strange contents of my junk email folder.

I checked with my advisor and her reply was inline with the April date that has been mentioned- that emails are usually sent the 1st week of April so not to expect anything before April 4th. Hopefully it'll be before that though.

Thanks for the update. I love getting updates on this thread. It helps distract me from the wait.

I've been trying to keep myself as busy as possible - working, getting my immunization records together, planning a vacation, even painting the entire exterior of the house. Unfortunately, it's not really working.

What about you guys? What are you doing to deal with the wait?

I babysit 25-30 hours a week so that keeps me busy. I watch nursing related videos on YouTube, go on hikes with my boyfriend..really anything to keep me busy and I try to put myself in situations where I don't need/want to be on my phone to check my email. Updates in this thread help me too!

I've been trying to stay busy with my classes for this semester, but it hasn't been working very well. I find myself checking my email between class and when I'm waiting in line to pick my daughter up from PreK. I'm hoping we find out before the 4th, even if it's a day or two, since it has the potential to negatively impact my mood on our anniversary. Haha!

Because I'm so ocd, I searched the forums for the announcement dates for the last few years. Here's what I found:

2015: 24-25 mar

2014: 31 mar

2013: 30 mar

2012: 4 apr (snail mail)

2011: 2-3 apr (snail mail)

I appreciate your ocd! Lol. The dates keep getting earlier, so that's a positive thing.

Haijun, was your advisor sure about them meeting on the 24th? I'm still hoping for an email this week.
