Chattanooga State Night Nursing Program Hopefuls 2017

Published

Who is anxious about the upcoming program application deadline? What are your points? Looking forward to meeting night program hopefuls!!!

I've seen a lot of reviews in book and video format about how to make it through nursing school. My smallest concerns were things like figuring out how to study, finding time to study, and how to deal with personality difficulties. The biggest thing I have discovered, at least through my practical nursing program, is that no book or lecture I read prepared me on how to critically think. I did not realize how much critical thinking skills were extremely necessary when it comes to nursing school. If you guys can find some video tips or books on how to improve your critically thinking skills I think it would serve you better than figuring out how to deal with the other things that can be dealt with by more practical means. Just my two cents.

I am driving myself crazy with this wait!! but I was informed that the nursing committee met Friday.. So I am really hoping we will get out emails SOOOOOOON!!!!

I thought about posting on April 1st that I got my email...but then I thought no. Being an April Fool's joke would be too cruel. :)

I also heard form a reliable source they met Friday. I have been hoping for an e-mail all day.

Did your reliable source happen to tell you what the lowest points they accepted? I am absolutely making myself sick thinking about a rejection letter :( or how many applied for each program? And ashley1033- that would have been so cruel!!! Lol!!!

No, the only thing they told me was, the committee was meeting Friday to make their final decision. I'm terrified thinking that the answer is sitting on someone's desk.

ahhh! I hope we find out soon! :nailbiting:

I'm going nuts!!!

I knowwww!!!! If the decisions are just hanging out, they need to quit torturing us!!!! :( I was told maybe a week (this was Friday)

Wishful thinking maybe they will go out tomorrow!

Hi all. I was in your shoes last year, waiting anxiously for the email there were issues last year & results were about a month late). I'm just about to finish my first year of the rn day program so let me know if you have any questions.

Next year chatt state won't have an Lpn program and cleveland state won't have an rn program, so I'm sure application numbers were up slightly. But keep in mind that there were a combined total of just over 400 applicants last year for the ~160 seats for the day and night program (so it sounds like approx the same # as applicants this year). In general, anything over 80 pts has a very good chance at admission and anything over ~86-87 pts is almost guaranteed.

I saw the sign stating that letters would begin going out on Chattanooga state campus. I just really wish we knew already. Still extremely scared, but ready to know!
