I just took the TEAS today and did ok, however my points aren't all that high. The only class I have left is Nut and I am currently taking. This is my second time applying so i am very frustrated. Can anyone tell me if I even have a chance of getting in for Fall 2012 with a total score of 74.2?? Please help!

Is 74.2 your total point calculation? I lost my worksheet but I think last year the bottom of class was around 84....BUT they have a wait list and they said some years they have used all 20 on the wait list!
They also say the points vary each year, according to the current applicants.
I'm taking the TEAS on monday....I have to score high to get 84pts total, as I don't have many pre-reqs done. I am nervous!!!
Don't stress the points too much...You are up there! Once I get my TEAS score I'll post my total points here....I have no clue what it will be...
Yes, 74.2 overall Thank you so much for your reply it made me feel a lot better! This nursing is so hard but I havent given up! Good luck to you on the TEAS, I thought everything was pretty reasonable on there except I ran out of time on the math, and that hurt my score. Keep me updated :)
How much time is there for math? That is my weak spot. The chatt state RN program is notoriously hard to get into so it's awesome that you are trying again! This is my first try, I really don't know what to expect...it all hinges on the teas for me. Good luck!!
They allow 55 minutes for 45 questions, which is really hard for me because I need to double check my work and they are problem you have to work out on paper since you can't use a calculator. Remember, my weak point is math so I'm sure you'll do fine!
Thats MY weak point!!! I am going to fail the math...it takes me about 2-5 minutes to solve those types of problems....45 in 55 minutes without a calc sounds a lot to ask anyone....
You won't fail, now you can practice working them out and timing yourself. The study guides are really helpful and its pretty simple math, but it does involve working the problems out like percents, decimals, fractions, word problems, etc.
Ok so my studying paid off and I got a decent score! My total points are 81-82 depending if they take my humanities course. I found another thread that said last year's cutoff for initial acceptance was 86 :uhoh21:
Of course that could be lower or higher this year....hopefully lower for our sakes! I hope I at least make it on the waitlist.
Okay so I have my official pts calculated at 79.25...anyone else got their points calculated?
Mines 74.2 for sure I prob won't make it. I wish it counted that this was my 2nd time applying but i dont think it does. I would love to hear some opinions from some chatt state nursing students who are in the program.
Im holding on to the "it changes every year" thing, and that everyones points may be a little lower from the new teas.
you and me both! we will hope for the best :) keep me posted!
