Chattahoochee Technical College ASN Fall 2014

U.S.A. Georgia

Has anyone applied to Chattahoochee Tech ASN Fall 2014?

I just mailed my college application and then I'll fill out the nursing...I'm nervous! I'm trying to decide if I want to take the last couple of pre-reqs (sociology, computers) next semester to get more points. Have you taken the TEAS yet? I took it last year but I'll probably take it again this year...I can't believe how late their application deadline is...it makes me wonder how late you find out if you're in!

Does anyone know the status of their national accreditation? Does anyone have friends in the program now?

The last I heard, which was pretty recent, they did not have national accreditation, only state board approval. I had planned on applying there but decided not to.

I have applied and I am waiting to hear. I went to the last mandatory Application session to apply for the Fall program and this is what they said about being accredited:

They are working on their accreditation, but they have not yet received it. This will not affect you as a student as long as you get your Nursing License in Georgia. Once you get licensed in Georgia, you can then get licensed in other states.

You cannot go to CTC RN Nursing program and then take your test in another state. (I know that is a bit redundant, but I just want to make sure that was clear.)

Anyway, now I am waiting to find out if I get an interview or not and I am hoping my hard-work was enough. The waiting is the hard part!!

I applied! Anxiously waiting for my interview email/letter. So over 300 people usually apply with only 40 (or maybe 50 this year) seats available. How did everyone do on their TEAS? Science classes?

I was thinking 500 applied, but 300 would be better so I am hoping you are right. I have a 4.0 and scored a 90.7% on the TEAS. I feel pretty good about my chances sometimes then nervous all over again. I went to the last application meeting and they said that they had received a TEAS score of 99%. I only took the TEAS once on May 9th, but the waiting is making the time drag by so slowly.

How did you do?

I've applied. I wonder when they will start sending out invitations? I have a 4.0 GPA but I only got 78 on the Teas. I hope my grades balance that out enough that I get an interview.

Guessing the emails for interviews should be going out soon. I think they said interviews would be conducted June 16 & 17.

No email about interviews today. Kinda expected one. Last year they went out on the Monday of the same week of June. Let me know if anyone gets anything

I broke down and emailed Mrs. Quentina Pittman-Howell because the wait was killing me and she said that the letters will come out sometime this week, to continue to check CTC email (which I have forwarded to my personal email) and that these letters will be coming from the Associate Dean of Health Sciences. I will post if I get anything - positive or negative.
