I just mailed my college application and then I'll fill out the nursing...I'm nervous! I'm trying to decide if I want to take the last couple of pre-reqs (sociology, computers) next semester to get more points. Have you taken the TEAS yet? I took it last year but I'll probably take it again this year...I can't believe how late their application deadline is...it makes me wonder how late you find out if you're in!
I have applied and I am waiting to hear. I went to the last mandatory Application session to apply for the Fall program and this is what they said about being accredited:
They are working on their accreditation, but they have not yet received it. This will not affect you as a student as long as you get your Nursing License in Georgia. Once you get licensed in Georgia, you can then get licensed in other states.
You cannot go to CTC RN Nursing program and then take your test in another state. (I know that is a bit redundant, but I just want to make sure that was clear.)
Anyway, now I am waiting to find out if I get an interview or not and I am hoping my hard-work was enough. The waiting is the hard part!!
I was thinking 500 applied, but 300 would be better so I am hoping you are right. I have a 4.0 and scored a 90.7% on the TEAS. I feel pretty good about my chances sometimes then nervous all over again. I went to the last application meeting and they said that they had received a TEAS score of 99%. I only took the TEAS once on May 9th, but the waiting is making the time drag by so slowly.
How did you do?
I broke down and emailed Mrs. Quentina Pittman-Howell because the wait was killing me and she said that the letters will come out sometime this week, to continue to check CTC email (which I have forwarded to my personal email) and that these letters will be coming from the Associate Dean of Health Sciences. I will post if I get anything - positive or negative.
