Who has applied to CTC for Fall 2015 ASN?

I have a few questions for some of the people on student council or who are already in/have been in the program.

1. Can I go ahead and purchase a stethoscope, or should I wait? And if I should go ahead and purchase one what brand/type would you recommend?

2. How much were your uniforms/lab coats? I'm assuming we will need to buy more than one set of uniforms because we will be wearing them often. hoping it's not too expensive!

3. How soon into the first semester will be start clinicals?

Hey Kristen,

So...

1. You can go ahead and purchase a stethoscope. Keep in mind that you will get one in your lab kit that you have to buy.. But its a cheapo one so a lot of us upgraded. As far as brands, Littman is the industry standard, but a bunch of people in our class went with another brand, MDF.

2. Lab coats and uniforms.. I forget exactly but expect to pay around 100 bucks total. Maybe a little more. They recommend getting 1 top and 2 pairs of pants.

3. You will start clinicals when we finish... so about halfway through the semester. Mid October I think

Today I received a phone call from the president-Kathleen- of the nursing program asking me I if I wanted a spot in their RN program because they had 2 more hospitals offer availability to do clinicals.....I said YES.....I am on top of the moon..See you at orientation..
