Who has applied to CTC for Fall 2015 ASN?

I noticed last year's group on allnurses, and I thought I'd start us off with a thread for Fall 2015 hopefuls.

Yeah sounds good to me! I'm currently waiting on my new car.. Well old car. It's my grandmas but she never really drove it. It's a 95 maxima. Still has the new car smell! lol but it's getting some stuff done too it. Praying it will be fixed within the next month. Otherwise my mom is planning on taking me to and from as she's only a seasonal employee where she works. I live right off powder springs Dallas road. Know where the governors gun club is? Well right at that light that road is a right off 278

tnvols4me, I hope you get accepted into the LPN program because it is AWESOME!! I got declined from the ASN the first time and got into the LPN so I did it first, I have no regrets about that program. I reapplied here to the ASN afterward because I have an interest in oncology and LPN's can't work in infusion. Good luck to you and don't give up on your dreams!!!!!

I declined my acceptance to Chatt's program this morning. Hopefully, they pull from an alternates list and someone can take my spot. Best of luck in nursing school to all!

I am declining too... The day after I finally received my letter... I found out I am pregnant, due right smack dab in the middle of second semester...

Soooo for now, nursing school is being pushed back for me and I'm going to complete as many courses as I can to set myself up for a bachelors program next fall...

Can anyone tell me which textbooks we'll be using first semester? I want to go ahead and purchase mine.

I've heard you guys are using different books than we did. I would suggest checking what the school bookstore has listed for the semester. They will give you a list the day of orientation. I waited till after orientation for mine and I'm glad I did because they had changed one of them from what the bookstore had so you might want to wait to be sure!
