Hello, I am creating this form for nursing students in the Charlotte area to connect and discuss our insight on the interviewing process, units and our hospital of choice.

To start off, I am a 2024 new grad looking for insight on ATRIUM and Novant health. I do currently have an interview for Novant next week looking to work in the ER.

Hi! I graduate in 2024 and am interested in critical care at Atrium and Novant. I'm not a Charlotte or NC resident so I hope you don't mind me joining in.

I'm waiting on the external applications at Atrium to open on the 11th and then I'll submit both at the same time. Hopefully I get a quick turnaround like you!

I interviewed early December for Novant. Upon interviewing the manager asked preferred start times (Summer/fall, etc) and preferred markets. I interviewed and received an offer a week later, was told there was a waitlist for Charlotte market but I was offered Winston. I personally don't mind bc I wanted critical care and got it, and once I have experience I can go anywhere :) I applied to Atrium before the crtical care deadline but since I already have an offer I won't be too bummed out if Atrium doesn't work.

Hi, I was offered a position in the ER in the Winston market and intermediate ICU in Charlotte. ER being my first choice I decided to take that one, she stated I could do 6 months there and then transfer to Charlotte if wanted.

Hi! I recently graduated earlier this month and am interested in both Novant and Atrium looking to work in the OR. However, I currently live in FL and not an NC resident yet so I hope it's still okay that I joined in. Since I'm not an NC resident I did not realize initially that the timeline for new grad apps is different than in FL, because of this I think I may have applied late (both apps were submitted this month for Spring 2024). Anyways, just wanted some insight and best of luck to you all with finishing up school & interviews! :)

Atrium just opened on the 11th so you're good. I'm currently working on my application for them now & Novant turnaround time for an interview is pretty fast so you should be hearing from them soon.

I've received an email for the critical care track to rank which ICU I would like to interview for, but other than that I haven't heard anything. 

Does anyone know about Novant's Charlotte region for NICU / women's services? Have people been offered positions and is there already a waiting list?
