I also am applying for 2011 and was worried at first, but they are indeed certified and recognized by the BRN in CA. It is brand spanking new which can be exciting but at the same time make people hesitant, especially with the media and controversy.

They just started in 2010 so there is not much to go by such as NCLEX rates and past students' experiences, but I am going to be a dare devil and take a shot at it. It helped by doing research on the program/school and reading up on the faculty which are great. This school has a lot of potential.

Have you decided on applying?

It used to be a PA program that was closed down after the shot down of Martin L. King Hospital. I wanted to apply, but I'm hesitant.

I lost my job when they closed down the hospital... and still feel like it ws their fault for not managing the med school right.

I wanted to apply there but if you google the program a lot of articles regarding the school's financial problems pop up. Apparently their facilities are brand spanking new but the students haven't even been able to use any of them. Sounds strange to me? I'm not sure whether I want to apply to a program that seems iffy. Wish there was more feedback on here.

i was just wondering if anyone else is applying to this school, has applied or is in the program right now? i wanted to know how it's going for you because it's program is fairly new and am being hesitant in applying =[

Did you end up completing an Entry Level Masters at Charles Drew? Have you had a difficult time finding a job with your entry level msn? I keep getting mixed reviews about this program and I am getting really nervous. I start the entry level masters in a couple weeks at Charles Drew University in Los Angeles..I would love to hear your experience with the program, and job placement. Thank you so much
