So I have finish all my classes and brought my profile score up to a 75. This will be my second time applying. The first time I applied with a profile score of a 60. So hopefully this time my 75 helps me get in. I was just curious to know other peoples profile scores. I can't wait to submit my application in August!
Buy a recorder and always record the lectures (ask the teachers before you record though.) Tegrity is not used through all the levels and sometimes just depends on the teacher. In level II, III and IV, my section had no Tegrity. But I was able to record and that helped tremendously. Great to listen to on the way to and from school, work, grocery, sometimes the gym (the few moments when there was time for the gym.) Good luck to you all! Don't be afraid to ask questions to anyone, try going to the SAC tutoring center even if it is just to find out some info about certain things.
Hi everyone. I am looking to apply in August for Spring 2016 and wanted to know what was your profile score and if you completed A&P2 when you was accepted. I am retaking A&P 1 and completing my other pre-reqs for the charity. I really want to get in the first time I apply. Any info is greatly appreciated!!!
Hello All,
I've have a degree already and took A&P I and the HESI also. I scored a 75. Looks like that wont cut it anymore according to the profile sheet. I'll be taking A&P II and the lab spring 2016, retaking the HESI at some point and applying for the fall 2016 semester. Does anyone know what a good profile score is? I assume I'll add what applies to me from the bottom of the sheet to get the score? Can someone explain this to me? Please and Thank You.

Typically a profile score of 65-70 is the cutoff. 75 on Hesi isn't horrible.

Sorry for the late response. My advice to you is to not listen to the hype...people will tell you that nursing school is sooo hard. It is a lot of information but the material is not incredibly difficult. Try to study on the regular basis....meaning a little here a little there...there is no such thing as cramming in nursing school. Listen to Tegrity (our lectures are recorded and then placed on blackboard), study your notes, refer to the text. Also, the Success books are great! The success books will help you to be able to answer NCLEX style questions. Believe in yourself, self-talk is important! You can do this and you will do it!
