So I have finish all my classes and brought my profile score up to a 75. This will be my second time applying. The first time I applied with a profile score of a 60. So hopefully this time my 75 helps me get in. I was just curious to know other peoples profile scores. I can't wait to submit my application in August!
1st time 70, 2nd time 75, 3rd time 75,
4th time 80. I applied for spring 2012, fall 2012, spring 2013, fall 2013. 1st and second time I applied I did not have all CSN pre reqs completed. I still also did not complete English 102, everything else was completed. My grades were all As and Bs. I had one C in a computer class I took but it's not in the CSN curriculum.
I know right? That's what I had and that's what happened to me. That's why I chose not to wait around anymore. They said cut off scores change every semester. It depends on everyone's score. If they have like 80 people applying with a 90-95 then they get in before someone with an
80. Hundreds of people apply from so many schools, not just from Delgado so it's very competitive. You can really never tell. It's different everytime. I have heard so much from other people that I stopped listening. So do just that. Just wait a few more weeks and see what happens yourself!! Hopefully all of you will get in. I always felt like they were overlooking me. My friend got in when she was still in A&P 1, with me and still needed a math class. She graduated in spring. We had the same GPA and her profile score was a 70.

That's crazy!
I have applied four times also. This time my score is the highest, being a 75. I am done with all of my classes and graduated in May with an Associates Degree. If I don't get in this time, I don't know what else to do. Should I go to a different school? Should I just finish with my BSN? I am just so scared because I have been denied 4 times so far. My GPA is high. I hate this waiting game!!!!!!!
I really do hope, you are accepted, this semester Christy. I knew that it was very competitive but maybe I didn't grasp how much it truly is. I hop for all of us this semester, has a happy ending and we all share our good news. I have to admit the past few posts have left my stomach in knots. I hope we hear something this week

Oh man, these last few comments have me feeling hopeless. I really pray that I get in. My nerves are so bad, all i can do is obsess about it. I feel so discouraged now.. I will continue to pray for all of us to get in! I will not give up- I know this is what I want in life! Thanks for sharing your experiences with us! I wish the best to all of you! :)
I, too, am feeling a little bummed from the last few comments. I was told 75 is a good score though and we just have to keep faith that it will all work out! I hope we all get that big packet (or email) soon to finally put our mind at ease. Has anyone called yet to try and see if they made the decision as to how they would notify us? And to the ladies who have applied 4 times, good for you for never giving up on what you really want, I hope this is it for you!
I'm sorry that my post scared y'all. I really was just trying to share my story about the waiting game and how not to ever give up. I remember the stress of everyday checking my mail to see if I was excepted. My point was to stress to y'all that I even changed majors to see if I would like something else, but when something is meant for you, you just know it! I've wanted to be a nurse since I was 18. I'm 32 now. The best advice I can give is if you have to apply more than 3 times without getting in, then try another school or even an LPN program so you can start making money as a NURSE faster. I do know that's it's a lot easier to get into charity once you have a degree or an LPN license!!Charity is one of the best nursing schools around and I wish so bad that I would have got in so again I hope you all are celebrating great news!!!!
I have not called lately.. Mostly because I feel it is a somewhat of an "automatic" answer.. "You will be notified Mid-October and it will be sent out email or mail.."
I know they are probably busy, and get flooded with calls everyday.
I am trying to wait patiently, but geez, every time I walk to the mailbox or check my email it feels like I am about to have a heart attack!
