Anyone on the northshore applying? Would love to find a group to study/carpool with after we get in!

My uncle and 2 of my cousins are all in the medical field, and they say littmann stethoscopes are the best for the $. They last a very long time. My boyfriend and I both got the Littmann II, and have no complaints. I think they cost about $85. The BP cuff was just supposed to be around $20 is what they told us...no brand recommendations. As far as the ebooks , I don't know if the instructors will be highlighting in them, but in my opinion they are awful. I had them on my iPad and computer and barely used them. In fact most of my classmates couldn't stand them, If that helps.

Thanks for the information.

Any recommendation for stethoscope and BP cuff?
Like everyone else says, a littman's your best choice for stethoscopes. For the BP cuff, you can go cheap. I'm going into my last semester in the fall, and honestly, I've only used my BP cuff probably twice the whole time - once for checkoffs, and once for a community health fair. In your clinicals, hospitals will either have their own cuffs or you'll use dinamaps (automatic BP machines).

LEZ126 hi, did you get the classes you wanted?

I did! I wound up switching from lsu to Kenner after asking around but I got right in! And I am taking pharm at 830 on Thursdays.

My phone sent that before I finished. Did you get where you wanted to go?
