Anyone on the northshore applying? Would love to find a group to study/carpool with after we get in!
I see some of ya'll are debating on ebooks vs hardbacks. I was a level 1 student this past semester and I can tell u from my experience ebooks work wonderfully if u have an ipad! Not an offbrand tablet but an Apple Ipad because some students had problems using them on the generic tablets. Its very close to the textbook minus the clutter and heaviness of a hardback. If u have a desktop/laptop I strongly advise against ebooks from talking to my friends/other students the ebooks were a pain to use on those devices. Regardless of what they tell u we never needed the ebooks for anything but our own personal use I truly believe the school gets a money kick back when ebooks are sold that is why they lie and say their "mandatory." Good luck everyone! Make sure whatever you get that your comfortable using it because u will need the books a good bit of time when studying for tests.
I don't think all of this classes are the right times for pharm cause the times interfere with nursing 1 lectures. I'm sure they still have some tweaking to do. Last semester none of the times ended or started at 12:29 or 10:01... I have already started reading the book and doing assignments since I was given the assignments for orentation last semester when I was a stand by. My advisor said the Ebooks are not mandatory and that last year's book is fine to use cause a the author does is switch up chapters to make it seem like its different info. I always used old books. I passed all A&P classes with a book from 1999 and it had the exactly the same info 14 years ago. And u can copy anything you would at the library and they even have recordings of the lectures in there also.
Hey i read the level I letter and it says that the instructors will be highlighting in the ebooks.. Maybe something is changing this semester. Its under current students, Level I course information, Welcome letter.

I know 3 people who were there last semester and said that the teachers never did that and the same assignments are in the text book. They order those Ebooks in advance so they try and sell them by saying they are mandatory so they don't lose the money they already put up for them. A 3 of them passed with good grades and said they barely used the Ebooks. Of course when it comes to that point you will do what's best/comfortable for you. Honestly I'm still debating myself cause you really never know if they will change something at the last minute.

Well everyone I just tried to access the registration information on dcc's website and it looks like Charity is actually changing some of the information. Maybe, just maybe, we will have a better understanding of classes either later on this evening or tomorrow.
Keep checking the website under registration information. It doesn't say Spring 2013 anymore.
Nor can you access any of the prior information about the courses and instructors.
Whoo hoo!
