I know I'm early but I'm super excited to begin nursing school. I was wondering if anyone else here is planning to apply to Charity for Fall 2012? Are you done with your prereqs? Taken the HESI? What's your profile score?
I have taken all of my prereqs but it has been 6 years since I took A&P II lecture/lab so I'm taking it now at Delgado. I'm taking the lecture online and I go on campus for the lab. We have only done one exercise in lab so far and I already feel like its not going to be very easy. I took the HESI on Monday and I did pretty well so I'm done with that thank God!
I calculated my profile score and if I get an A in the A&P lecture I'll have 70 points. If I get a B or C, I'll have 65 points. I'm super nervous because when I talked to the admissions lady at Charity she told me the cut off tends to be a bit higher for the Fall semester than the Spring. From reading the forum, it looks like the cut off for Spring 2012 was around a 55 so I'm worried that the cut off for Fall will be like 75!

Congratulations to all who got in! I will be starting PCN in the fall, but because I am a CASN member I will be volunteering at orientation. I can't wait to meet you all and I hope you enjoy Charity as much as I do :-)

I have been following for some time but just became a member. I got in for fall! I cant wait to meet my future classmates. Congratulations to everyone!!!!!
I didn't get in guys. ? The letter states that I was qualified but there were others more qualified and that I should send an email to be re-evaluated for Spring.
Sorry to hear you guys didn't get in. I have yet to get anything in the mail not sure why. Anybody else not get a letter yet? My profile score is a 75 hopefully thats enough.
I can personally tell you that if you did not get in reapply. I met with the head of admissions four times. I was denied twice before I got in. It's timing! Fall is much harder to get in than spring. She told me they take a lot of people who already have a degree or completely done with everything. That was where I am. I applied again the third time with everything finished. I made an 87 on hesi. My profile was an 80. The cut off was 70. So don't give up. The more times you apply looks better as well. Or so I was told. Good luck!!!
That's true because I was told by admissions that 400 people applied but they could only accept 100. She told me Spring has less applicants so they lower the profile score cut off as well.
