Charity School of Nursing spring 2015 assessment sheet

So I just completed my profile sheet for the Spring 2015 Semester. I plan on applying to charity in Aug. I had completed a profile sheet for Fall 2014 to see where I stand. The problem I discovered is that they removed a cumulative total of 10 points so now my profile score is now a 60!!! I am freaking out and I scheduled to take the HESI again to try and get a higher score since that is one of the places they deducted 5 points. I am so afraid that I will not make the cut now and don't know what to do!!! During the fall 2014 semester I am taking my last non-nursing pre-reqs (statistics and a Lit) other than that I have pretty much all the pre-reqs for any and all BSN programs in the metro area. I was wondering if anyone else is in the same situation or has heard if Charity has adjusted the cut-off as well as deducting the 10 points? I've KILLED myself working 72+ hours every 2 weeks overnight in an ER while maintaining a 3.3 GPA (3.00 CSN GPA non-nursing) constantly taking over full time status in school all of this while taking care of my two year old boys as much as I can. This has me so ruffled I don't know what I am going to do. All I keep thinking is that I will never get in now!!! I don't even know if anyone else is going to see this post that is going to be applying with me ??!!! OMG !!!

I'm applying for spring 2015 as we'll, didn't get in for fall 2014 due to my profile score being a 60, but after this spring semester I'll be through with all my classes so that will put me at a 75.

I am also applying for the Spring 2015 semester. I KNEW something was off on the profile sheet because I remember my score being higher last time I added it up. I just don't have an old 2014 list to compare it to anymore. What else did they change besides the HESI points? I currently have a 75 but haven't taken my HESI yet; I'm scheduled to take it on the 24th. I'm super nervous about it!! Do they announce the profile scores they are looking for? This whole application process has me stressed.

I am applying to the spring 2015 class as well. I will have a 75 on my point scale hopefully if I do better this time on the HESI. I have talked to the director over the nursing program and she told me to come in after I retake my HESI on may 29th. She is really nice and is willing to tell you what you need to do. I made a C in both A&P I and II and I was going to retake them but she urged me to absolutely not retake them. That's the only two C's I have. I think a 75 would be ok. I work full time and take care of my son so I completely understand. Just pray! Seriously call charity and ask to speak to the director I think her name is Mrs. Williams or Wilson she will point you in the right direction.

you should get in with a 75... my friend was accepted for Fall 14 with a 65. This will be my third time applying. I just finished my last math and will be taking Micro this summer.

The deadline to turn in everything with the application is August 15.

I am applying for the 2015 semester also. I have applied twice before but did not get in. I just took the Hesi again yesterday and got an 82. I also graduated in May w/ a degree in General Studies. I am done with all of my classes, just waiting to get in. My profile score is an 80. I hope I get in this time !

All I can say after applying last semester and not getting accepted, is to make sure they add up your points correctly. They told me I had a 55. Upon further review they failed to give me 10 points for having a bachelors degree. I would have had a 65 and may have gotten in. They appogized for the mistake but It was too late to let me in. I took Micro over the summer to help out my score and by making an A in it I have now raised my score to an 85 so I'm pretty sure I'm good to go for spring. Just frustrating to know I may have been in last class if they added up my score correctly.

Agreed!!! I'm ready to get this show on the road! I'm re-sitting the Hesi tomorrow and then taking my application over to Charity and dropping it off after the test. I'm super excited about just applying!
