Published

Hey, just wanted to create this forum for people that are going to apply to Charity for Fall 2019. That's when I feel I will be ready to apply! I'm still working on my prereqs!

They’ve already approved your background too? And issued a student license?

Yup

Mine is still pending

Hope you get approval soon!

Has anyone bought their books yet?

If so, how much were they?

I'm probably going to get mine the first week of July, I hope that's not too late I need to let some money build up.

Also, has anyone gone uniform shopping yet?? Super excited about that! I might go next week

p.s. Still haven't gotten my approval for the LSBN so i'm a little paranoid about that, anyone else still pending?

It looks as if people are getting approved slowly but surely. Mine is still pending. A few people I know have been approved.

I ordered all my "extra" books that aren't in the bundle. I didn't order my bundle yet. I have financial aid, so I'm debating if I'll buy before or wait to buy at school. I'll probably buy in July before because I'm getting nervous lol

As for scrubs, I didn't go yet either. I'm in-between sizes and was hoping to lose a little weight but that doesn't look like it's happening ??

Do you plan on wearing blue scrubs for class days?

Which group are u in? I'm in group 2 with Keller on Tuesday.

I bought the book bundle from Pearsons. It was about $1000. If I were you I’d wait for financial aid since you don’t need them right now.

I’m still waiting for LSBN to approve me, it looks like they have reviewed everything. Hopefully find out soon ??

I've bought a few of the extra books too! I'm reading 'Think like a Nurse' right now, its pretty good.

Omg $1000 thats what I thought, yea i'm gonna wait a little longer and see if Fin Aid comes through!

I just checked, I'm still pending too.

I hear you! I've been kind of working out trying to get in better endurance for school lol

I don't know if i'm going to wear the blue scrubs? Maybe just because it'll be easy instead of finding something to wear.

I'm in group 4 with Ms. Castro, I read a lot of reviews and they said she was hard but you would learn a lot.

Its so close I can't stand it! lol

Hey guys,

Was wondering about the white leather shoes requirement. Can they have a different color sole? Can't remember correctly what they said. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Hey All!

If anyone is interested in using Picmonic for Nursing, this link (https://www.picmonic.com/gb/gi1b ) will give you 20% off, and more depending on how many people use the link within a week. I used it to help me with gen bio and A&P and it has great reviews for Nursing help. Just looking for anything that will help with the upcoming workload! NRSNG looks great too, but it is more than I can afford monthly, so if anyone grabs a deal on that, post it here or send it my way! ?

See you all very soon!

What are you confused about exactly? Happy to help clarify but the post you've replied to is from over a year ago so i just wanted to be sure I'm understanding you.

Sorry lol. So I know on the PN program requires that I have my English and math courses done before I apply for the program. Is that just 1 semester of the courses or?

I don't know about PN requirements at all, only R.N., and we must have 3 hrs non developmental math (120 or higher), 3 hours English (engl 101), and A&P 1 lecture/lab to apply for the R.N. nursing program for a spring or fall semester. There are MANY other courses but they can be taken concurrently with nursing courses, though i wouldn't recommend it. Nursing is a heavy enough course load without the other courses needed for graduation. I'm done with ALL coursework except nursing, pharm and special pop. Hope that makes sense.
