Charity School of Nursing Fall 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi, all... So I am applying in January 2018 for the fall 18` semester. I wanted to start a thread to not only have a place where can all ask questions and share info but to hopefully make some friends to start the program with. I know several girls and guys who have completed the program and having a good relationship with your peers is a must.

HEY @rloetz... Were there a lot of applicants applying when you turn your application in???

Actually no! But you could tell that people had been coming in all day. They had several boxes of folders in them. When I left 2 people were waiting to turn theirs in. So no real wait time! I`m praying that not a lot of people apply.

Yaaaay, yes the wait begins I plan on dropping mine off tomorrow. Study group that's perfect! See you Tuesday.

I pray for that also. lol I am at a 65 profile score. I thinking about taking the Hesi over to see if i can approved my scored for least 5 more points before I turn my application in.

I thought about doing the same but I decided not to. Giving it to god & the universe and if I do not get in this round then I will retake the hesi and reapply. I will have an additional 15pts next app period because all my prereqs will be complete. So whatever happens happens for a reason. Best of luck to you!!

Yes! You is right about that. Best of luck to you too!

Hey, y'all! I'm taking the HESI tomorrow @ the Sidney Collier campus. Am I allowed to bring my scientific calculator? Delgado's site says that a non-programmable calc is allowed. I'm so nervous! I'll prob drop my app off on Friday after the HESI or on Monday. I have all prerequisites except for Micro. I'm taking that right now. I have a 3.9 something GPA and just got my Bio Transfer degree (A.S.) in December. I have 75 pts. on the app assessment without the HESI score. I'm praying that I get at least an 80. I've been studying for 2 months.

You will do great hun. I do not think the calculator is a problem I brought one similar with me, maybe bring a back up just in case. It does not sound like you will have any trouble getting accepted. The HESI is fairly easy it is a pretty basic exam but I found it to be more of a stamina test. It took me 3.5 hours and the last 30 mins I was pretty much over sitting in front of the computer. Best Of Luck!!!!

A basic calculator would be fine. The math part is basically about fractions, conversions, proportions and Roman numerals. If you have the Hesi Admission Assessment study book that would be perfect for this part. I made a 96 in math. You will do great!

Thanks, y'all. My calculator is a scientific calc (TI-30x). It's not a basic calc, but it isn't programmable. I'll bring both types just in case. I'm so nervous. I've busted my butt for two years to get to this point. I know y'all have, also! I'm praying that we all get in. The best of wishes to you! Oh, and are there any more testing dates after tomorrow? If I'm not happy with my score, I'd like to give it another shot.

Yes, thats the calculator I used when I took the hesi. I called City Park campus testing center and they have testing dates for Jan 26 and 29. Can you still take it tomorrow since the school is closed??
