I am in a med/surg job at a small local hospital. The staff have been beyond my expectations and havn't had a problem with any of them. I started in March right after taking the NCLEX so this is my first nursing job.
As much as I like my unit I know this isn't what I want to do as a nursing specialty. As it happens there is an opening for the perfect hours in a unit I would like to work in, the ER.
I am wondering what you all think of this kind of switch so early in my career. Would it be burning bridges to switch now instead of waiting a year or would it be a good decision to go?
