Hi, I am currently at tcc finishing up all the prereq's for the nursing program, but I'm starting to get worried. I have an awfull Gpa (overall) because years ago (when i didn't know what I wanted to do) I took a bunch of random classes and got bad grades. Now that i'm back and truly invested I'm making a's, my science gpa is 3.75 but my overall is 2.5. Do I even have a chance of getting in? I really want to do this but I'm afraid, with how competive it is, that i'm wasteing my time. Does anyone out there know it its even possibble to get it with these kinds of grades?

Word is they are only considering your science GPA these days, and yours is competetive so I wouldn't worry about your overall GPA. They don't take it into account. As long as you stay over 3.5 in your sciences (but higher is better!) and do well on your HESI, you have just as much chance as anyone else. Good luck!

This is true, and now that there are no bonus point classes, everyone's competitiveness lies entirely on the science gpa and hesi, so the higher, the better.

Yep, just science GPA...you are off to a great start.
