Hi there,
I’ve applied to the Centennial hybrid and flex programs for January and May 2022 about a week and a half ago. My cumulative GPA is a 3.86. I’m currently in my last semester at George Brown and am on track to get a 4.0 this semester so I’m hoping it will bump my cumulative GPA up to a 3.9. Is this competitive enough? I don’t know how competitive it needs to be.

your GPA should definitely be competitive enough my GPA was lower than yours currently and I got in additionally I believe all you need is at least a 3.0 . The primary thing you need to ensure is that you have not failed/repeated any courses . Even with a high GPA if you failed / repeated any nursing courses you won't get admission

Girl you are good! As long as you have no fail/repeated courses you are good to go.

Thank you both so much! Yes, no failed or repeated courses!
I applied to Centennial so just waiting for my school to send my information to the CNO so I can register. Then hopefully will get an answer soon!
Also if you guys don't mind me asking, did you apply for the same year you graduated from PN or did you work for a while as an RPN then applied?

Good luck. I finished Dec and applied for the following Sept intake. Bridging programs are very competitive and each year the requirements get more and more strict. Even having a great GPA is no guarantee. I did not want to wait as it gets harder to get in every year.

Thank you! Yes that is another reason why I didn't want to wait. I definitely want to start working full time as soon as possible so I figured the hybrid program was the best option for me so I could still work and complete my BScN. About how long did it take for your school to send your info to the college? The deadline my school gave us was February 26th. So I'm hoping within the next few weeks the college will get my info and I can show centennial proof that I am eligible to write the exam. Was that enough information for them to send you an acceptance? Or did you have to wait until you passed your CPNRE?
Sorry for all the questions LOL I just want to make sure I am on the right track for my application.
